Sweet #6!

Where o where has the time flown! My baby boy is turning 6! It seems unbelievable and inconceivable that 6 years have just flown by! We had a party for him Saturday and these are some of the photos. It was an "obstacle course" type of party and the place set up the course and then they got to do some jumping on the trampoline and then it was off to the arcade and tube area. They all had a ball and mom and dad were completely and utterly exhausted at the end after keeping track of 8 kids in a place that had 4 kids birthday parties going on at once! This is no Chuck E. Cheese where a child's hand is stamped and the person they leave with must have a matching stamp - this is a "you watch over your own party and keep track of your own little ones" kind of place. Zachary's cake was an ice cream cake and we had 1/2 of it left - and it's now sitting in our freezer calling to us periodically. We're trying to figure out a way to pawn it off on our neighbors so we don't regain every ounce of fat we have lost!!!
It was loads of fun and having limited the number of kids this year to a much more manageable number was definitely the way to go! Also, having just learned how to use the "RAW" part of my camera also allowed me to doctor the photos with different adjustments in the computer so they could be lightened enough for us to see what was going on! That has turned out to be an invaluable skill!!!! All of these photos were pitch black prior to playing with them on the area of the computer which allows you to doctor raw photos.
Now, Zachary's real birthday is tomorrow (Wednesday) - so I'm off to find enough cupcakes to feed his entire class...............look out Sam's here I come!!!!!

Hello Blackwell's and Hutchins' family!!!! I am very glad she shared our blog with you!!

I canNOT believe KatyBeth is 15!!!! Last time I saw her I think she was 2 or 3! I am feeling positively ancient!!! We'd love to see a picture - maybe email one??? hint, hint.....

I here you on the weekly routine! By the way, just so you can feel like the blazing Texas heat in August doesn't stink all that bad - our high today was 12, which was balmy considering yesterday's high of 8. Of course, when we woke up this morning to get ready for church, it was -2 and felt like -18 with the wind chill. We can wear sundresses, light weight pants and hats - but lordy, there is only so much "extra" room in our clothes for layer after layer of long-johns!!!

How's the restaurant business? Oh, boy - do we think of your mom's chocolate pies, and every other thing she makes - on a REGULAR basis!!! We sure miss seeing and talking to you all! Email us directly sometime soon! God bless ya'll!
