Zachary had his appointment with the Pediatric Pulmonologist (lung specialist) last Tuesday. Of course, this past Sunday afternoon he came down sick with a croup-like virus - yet again. So when we went Tuesday, he was in all his glory of how his body reacts to respiratory viruses. Honestly, we were glad for it so the doctor could see/hear everything the boy goes through. Anyway, he had a nasty wheeze and cough and when they had him take the lung capacity test, which measures something like the strength of the air you're forcing out of your lungs, he failed miserably. No surprise for me since he's sick, but the doctor seemed somewhat surprised. Anyway, the dr. determined that pretty much all of the meds Zach was on were not appropriate for his age or his condition. So, $150 worth of new prescriptions later, we have started on a new course which will hopefully lead us to the land of wellness......and a full night's sleep. But not before Zach could get a secondary infection Thursday night........and no sleep for me Thursday/Friday/Saturday nights. Ah well, at least he's doing a lot better today and should be well enough for school tomorrow.
These are some photos I've been working on. It's really, really difficult to capture this just right an it's taken quite a lot of "drops" to get the splash, fizzies and such going in all the right directions. Anyway, I'm up to about 300 shots and will probably have another 300 before I fully figure this out. It's addicting, but fun.
Katie got the first of her dance recital costumes. It's cute but it requires me to make some adjustments and sew stuff together. Not thrilled with the amount of money we spent that I am having to sew stuff on this costume, but no choice at this point. She'll look very cute in it though, I'm sure. Can't wait to see her costume for tap, which we get on Tuesday. Hopefully it won't require alterations either.....
